Modern Architecture in Singapore, Marina Bay Sands Hotel

The Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore struck me as odd and fascinating. Talk about conflicted. I mean, you can’t help but marvel at the genius behind the construction, but why is there a ship’s hull on top of a building? Incongruous? I think so. Possible Worksite Violation

Check out these two images taken in Yangon (Rangoon), Burma. Barefoot, wouldn’t you know standing on old, weathered wood. I couldn’t stand to watch them any longer, so I don’t know if they made it down safely. Hopefully they replaced the bulbs with long lasting ones. You can check out more images from Burma here.
