Taking Better Portraits Photography Workshop
Have you ever looked at certain portraits and thought, “I wonder how they did that?” Our goal in this action-packed day of learning and shooting is to give you the knowledge to deconstruct the elements of strong portraiture so you can go out and make your own.
We’ve designed the day with some sit-down learning and a lot of shooting because practice is what it’s really all about. We’ll begin with natural light and show you some simple techniques that will instantly create better portraits. In the afternoon, we’ll introduce you to the world of the electronic lighting so you can get a feel for the power of artificial light. We’ll also give you some solid ideas on how to work with your subjects; ideas to relax them and how to prepare them whether your shooting on the street or in the studio.
And it will be fun; photography and fun go well together.
9:00 Meet and greet with coffee and tea (we’ll also take a peak to see what kind of camera you’re working with)
